MY STORY WITH DOOO

WHAT DO STUDENTS THINK?

Data....

  • 62% of student respondents would prefer to have course materials primarily on LMS (vs. open website).
  • 38% of student respondents indicated that it was likely or very likely that they would take another course that utilized enhanced digital tools.
  • 87% of student respondents indicated that it was exciting to take part in an online module where they worked alongside students in Japan/America.

"I loved that I could connect with people so far away. Although a language barrier was a little

difficult I had a great time learning about their culture and sharing ours with them. It is amazing how

connected we can be these days."

Limitations/Challenges

  • The learning curve of a new technology (google became my best friend)

  • Student perceptions (clicking around a website is more work?)
  • Accessibility (where do you start?)
  • Copyright (everything is out in the open....)
  • Grading multiple sites (a blog/site per student = many pages to review)
  • Drop in learners... do you give them feedback? how do you engage them? how do you know if you
